Part I: A Safe Place and Part II: Protecting Serenity

This project was created for my master's degree in photography at the Academy of Art University. I strive to express the recovery process using abstract digital photography. Part I focuses on the inner struggle, and Part II focuses on the eight dimensions of wellness. (SAMHSA) In my journey through recovery, I found solace through mindful thinking and the memory of liminal spaces. Interstitial, or in-betweenness, musing objects and places, and foggy layer to protect me from the recollection of the past.
